Introduction
David counsels clients on laws affecting internet products and services, including AI and machine learning, autonomous vehicles, Internet of Things, social media, e-commerce, and mobile applications.
David H. Fentin focuses his practice on commercial agreements, product counseling, and privacy compliance, helping technology clients across a range of industries accomplish their business and compliance goals.
David’s privacy practice focuses on privacy laws enacted in the United States and abroad, helping clients understand their data and data flows, remediate compliance gaps, and streamline compliance efforts. He assists clients with privacy policies, privacy by design and other internal governance, data subject rights fulfillment, data processing and intra-company agreements, and financial privacy compliance.
In his commercial agreement practice, David draws on his privacy and IP background and negotiation skills to assist clients in executing a range of complex transactions, including AI and machine learning data and model licensing, collaboration and development agreements, API integrations, supply and manufacturing, and ad network and analytics services.
David’s product counseling work includes drafting consumer-facing terms and advising on various product launch issues, such as auto-renewing subscription compliance, online contract formation, and international product roll-out.
