Introduction
Crowley leads Ashurst Perkins Coie's European employment practice from London and is experienced in advising on all aspects of employment law.
Crowley is a partner in the London office, where he leads our European employment practice. He is experienced in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, with a particular emphasis on discrimination, employee disputes and workforce restructuring.
Crowley has extensive experience in cross-border employment issues, collective labor issues, redundancies and workforce restructuring, ARD/TUPE, corporate transactions, corporate governance matters, executive arrivals and departures, whistleblowing, discrimination claims, protecting confidential information, and enforcing and resisting post-termination restrictive covenants. Crowley is also highly experienced in leading complex internal investigations including within a regulatory environment.
Crowley is a member of the Japan Society of the UK, with a well-established practice working with high-caliber Japanese clients on all UK employment issues. He has also spent a considerable amount of time living and working in Japan and has a thorough understanding of the needs of Japanese clients.

- A private equity firm | 2023 | Advised on service agreements and bonus arrangements for senior management.
- A financial technology company | 2022-2023 | Advised on the acquisition of a brokerage firm.
- A Japanese manufacturing company | 2022 | Advised on the proposed liquidation of its UK subsidiary and resulting collective redundancy procedure.
- A Japanese electric utility company | 2022 | Provided support on the secondment of an ex-pat to the UK and their contractual arrangements.
- A financial services company | 2021 | Advised on a proposed restructure of the business that would involve moving employees between entities and potentially seconding them back.
- A bank | 2020-2021 | Advised on health and safety and hybrid-working issues.
- An investment bank | 2020-2022 | Advised on a whistleblowing investigation and on a data subject access request made in the context of a whistleblowing investigation and disciplinary process.
