Connor assists clients with clean energy transactions, project development, and regulatory compliance.

Connor Hughes supports energy developers and customers as they navigate statutory frameworks and evaluate commercial strategies within an evolving energy market. He works on matters across a wide range of asset types—including wind, solar, battery energy storage, and renewable natural gas.

Connor’s transactional experience includes supporting the drafting and negotiation of PPAS and project development contracts on multi-GW projects, as well as conducting comprehensive due diligence for multisite renewable portfolio acquisitions.

Prior to joining the firm, Connor worked as a law clerk at the CPUC. While earning his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, he worked as a summer associate in the firm’s San Francisco office, served as an associate editor of the Ecology Law Quarterly, and advocated for clients through the pro bono Environmental Law Clinic. He maintains an active immigration pro bono practice.
