Introduction
Chris is highly experienced in handling the demands of complex real estate transactions across all asset classes and sectors.
Chris Benbow focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate, in particular the inward investment of foreign capital into the UK and European real estate markets.
Chris also has extensive experience of advising on corporate real estate driven transactions, including real estate joint ventures and the acquisition and disposal of real estate holding companies and platforms.
Chris's clients include global real estate investors and developers, private equity firms and pension funds, where he has previously been seconded.
- Lendlease | 2025 | Advised Lendlease on the formation of a landmark 50/50 conditional joint venture with The Crown Estate, marking a major milestone in the delivery of sustainable urban regeneration projects across London and Birmingham.
- Roebuck Asset Management | Advised on the £90 million off-market sale to Tritax Big Box REIT Plc on behalf of a syndicate of Korean investors of an 872,000 sq ft state of the art distribution unit let to Accolade Wines in Avonmouth, UK.
- Vestas European Strategic Allocation Logistics Fund | Advised on the establishment of the Vestas European Strategic Allocation Logistics Fund (‘VESALF I’) launched by Savills Investment Management in partnership with Vestas Investment Management.
- Project Tudor | Acting for KTB Investment & Securities together with KTB Asset Management on an off-market acquisition of the Tesco Distribution Centre in Donabate, Ireland for approximately €160 million.
- Project Neptune | Acting for an overseas investor on a sale and leaseback of a portfolio of logistics centers in the UK, France and Spain.
- Oxford Properties | 2018 | Advised on its A$3.35 billion acquisition of 100% of the units in Investa Office Fund ('IOF'), Australia.
- Oxford Properties | 2018 | Advised on the sale of a 49.9% stake in its French portfolio to a fund for approximately €400 million.
- Oxford Properties | 2017 | Advised in relation to its shareholder agreements with Madison International Realty in relation to the acquisition of the Sony Centre in Berlin for approximately €1.1 billion from South Korea's National Pension Service.
- Oxford Properties | Advised on its £300 million+ joint venture acquisition and financing of five major freehold sites at 130-137 New Bond Street, London.
