Introduction

Cayro Bustos advises fintech companies, financial services firms, and technology clients on complex commercial and technology transactions, with a focus on agreements that support financial products, digital platforms, and emerging financial technologies. 

Cayro drafts and negotiates a broad range of technology and commercial agreements, including software as a service, cloud services, consulting, professional services, procurement, and other technology-related transactions. He also supports clients in the decentralized finance, crypto, and digital assets sectors, including custody agreements, prime brokerage agreements, and other commercial arrangements involving digital asset infrastructure and services. 

Cayro’s practice sits at the intersection of technology, financial services, and digital assets, helping clients structure and negotiate agreements for fast-moving products, platforms, and vendor relationships. He also works with clients on fintech regulatory considerations that affect product development, commercial contracting, and digital asset services, including developments involving stablecoins, digital asset market structure, and proposed federal legislation such as the GENIUS Act and CLARITY Act. 

During law school at Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, he served as air law symposium editor for the SMU Law Review and as treasurer for the Student Bar Association.
