Introduction

Arnaud guides fund sponsors and investors through the complexities of both domestic and international cross-border investment vehicles.

Arnaud Julien is assisting domestic and international clients on all aspects pertaining to asset management as well as regulated and unregulated investment fund structures, including the set-up, capital raising and launch of investment funds, together with assisting their sponsors during such funds' lifecycle, performing investor due diligences, reviewing and negotiating service providers agreements, advising on marketing considerations, etc. In addition, he also regularly provides guidance on regulatory issues in such related matters.

Arnaud holds a Master in Law and complementary Master in Law in international business law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles as well as a LL.M. from the King's College in London.

Prior to joining Ashurst Perkins Coie, Arnaud worked at well-known domestic and international law firms.

Arnaud speaks French and English.

  • Foresight Group | Advised on the establishment of the €1bn Foresight Energy Infrastructure Partners Fund, focused on investing in European, sustainably-led energy infrastructure.
  • Generali Investment Partners | Advised on a continuous basis in relation to various investments, representing circa EUR 3 billion of commitments, made in various private debt and sustainable private equity investment strategies' structures.
  • Fremman | Advised on the establishment and fundraising of their second buy-out fund, closed at EUR 850 million, and advised on the set-up of a continuation vehicle.
  • UK mid-market private equity fund manager | Advised on the formation of a SFDR Article 9 multi-asset private equity investment fund, together with concomitant co-investment vehicles.
  • A Chinese state-owned insurance company | Advised in relation to a number of infrastructure or infrastructure-related investments within funds structures launched by major US, Swedish and French sponsors.
