Hidden Exposure: Corruption Risks in Data Center Development

Alt

Data center construction is inherently risky across land leases and acquisitions, permitting, procurement, contractor and vendor oversight, government relationships, and community investments.

This CLE webinar explored where these risks most often surfaced on a global scale and how companies could implement defensible compliance controls both proactively and in response to common issues that arose. We discussed possible third-party diligence, contractual controls, compliance expectations and programs, cooperation expectations, government relationships, and local and cultural considerations, and requests from jurisdictions during the permitting process. Participants left with practical steps for strengthening compliance oversight while maintaining operational momentum.
