Internship
Do you want to know what it's like to work at Ashurst Perkins Coie? Then join us while you are still studying. We will give you a realistic insight into the work of an associate in a global commercial law firm.
Our 6-week internships are for law students who are in their fourth semester, or have completed their intermediate examination. You will gain legal experience and a realistic insight into the life of a lawyer. You will have the opportunity to work in the Frankfurt or Munich office, where you will be supervised by a qualified lawyer.
We offer one internship annually, in summer, and applications are open year-round. So, please apply if you are interested.

We provide you with real experience of what it's like to be a lawyer at Ashurst Perkins Coie. Every day, you'll have the opportunity to work on legal matters with lawyers, partners, and clients. An experienced associate will support you as your personal mentor.
An insight into the legal profession
During your internship, our training program gives you access to intern-focused lectures, workshops, and lunchtime talks and events designed to give you a comprehensive overview of what we do as a firm.
The recruitment process
We look for students in their fourth semester who have:
- A desire to work in a global environment
- A team-focused attitude
- An understanding of the overall economy
- A good command of English
- An academic transcript with 9 points or more
You will need to submit a short application, including your CV, Zwischenprüfung, and a short cover letter to help us understand who you are and why you're interested in the role. Please also let us know which legal team you'd like to work in and which internship you're applying for.
We are flexible on the timing of your internship with us; however, please note that training events and lectures are held only during the official internship programs.
You are welcome to apply in English or German.
You will meet face-to-face with members of the team for an interview designed to assess your personal and technical skills.
