Ashurst Perkins Coie's Australian M&A team delivers for clients in H1 2026
Ashurst Perkins Coie has been ranked 2nd among all firms for deals by volume in Mergermarket's H1 2026 M&A League Table for Australia after advising on over US$17 billion of transactions announced in the period.
Major transactions that Ashurst Perkins Coie recently advised on include:
- Alcoa Corporation's proposed US$4.1 billion acquisition of South32’s interests in bauxite, alumina, and aluminium operations;
- Amwins Group Inc's proposed $7.7 billion acquisition of Steadfast Group Limited via scheme of arrangement jointly with Dragoneer Investment Group, LLC;
- Brookfield and GIC's A$4 billion acquisition of National Storage REIT; and
- Sembcorp Industries' A$6.5 billion acquisition of Alinta Energy.
