    Ashurst Perkins Coie expands intellectual property division with Daniel Schnapp

    New York (September 1, 2026)—Today, Ashurst Perkins Coie announced Daniel (Dan) Schnapp joined the firm’s Trademark, Copyright, Internet & Advertising (Global) practice within the Intellectual Property (IP) division in New York.  

    Dan brings more than two decades of experience advising clients in high-stakes IP disputes and complex commercial litigation to the firm. His practice spans a wide range of industries including advertising, media, art, music, technology, financial services, and real estate.

    Dan regularly serves as first-chair counsel in high profile matters involving trade secret misappropriation, copyright and trademark infringement, false advertising, counterfeiting, privacy, defamation, and antitrust, among other complex commercial disputes. He practices before arbitration forums and courts at the federal and state level, and has been lead counsel for 20 trials, including jury, nonjury, and arbitration proceedings. Dan also has extensive experience managing government and regulatory investigations involving federal agencies including the Federal Trade Commission, the National Advertising Division, the SEC, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
