Introduction

Sid advises banks, fintechs and financial services firms on all aspects of financial regulation, from wholesale markets compliance to cryptoassets and digital transformation.

Sid Ulker advises a wide range of firms, including banks, investment firms, payment services providers, e-money issuers, fintech companies and retail brokers, on all aspects of financial regulation.

She has advised firms on the implementation of financial services regulation impacting the traditional wholesale markets and banking, including IFPR, Brexit, MiFID, MAR and EMIR. Sid is an advisor on implementation projects as well as providing firms with strategic regulatory advice to assist in navigating the regulatory landscape.

She is also a FinTech authority, assisting firms with the application of payment services and e-money regulations, as well as advising on cryptoasset issuance and infrastructure and digital asset transformation.

Prior to this, Sid was a Director at the Association for Financial Markets in Europe, where she led sell-side industry lobbying efforts in MiFID II for fixed income products, SFTR, shadow banking initiatives and solvency II capital requirements. As part of this Sid was engaged in discussions with legislators and regulators during the entire lifecycle of legislative and regulatory change, including the drafting of legal text.
