Introduction
Nancy assists developers, private offtakers, and public utilities with power and renewable energy development transactions, including project development, power purchase, and offtake agreements.
Nancy represents a diverse range of clients—including developers, private offtakers, and public utilities—in the transactional aspects of power and renewable energy development. Her practice spans a broad mix of resources, including solar, wind, battery energy storage systems, geothermal, and renewable natural gas. She advises on the negotiation of complex project agreements and supports corporate and finance transactions through regulatory due diligence.
In addition to her transactional work, Nancy counsels clients on federal and state regulatory compliance and permitting matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and state public utility commissions.
Nancy maintains a strong commitment to pro bono service, with a particular focus on immigration and appellate advocacy. She has represented clients before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and has represented several asylum and U-visa applicants in their immigration proceedings.
Nancy is active in the legal community, currently serving on the Board of the San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association. Her previous leadership includes serving as president of the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association and holding various leadership roles within the Hispanic National Bar Association.
As a native Spanish speaker, Nancy is an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she teaches a class, Spanish for Lawyers.
