John Stawyskyj

John Stawyskyj is a consultant in our real estate practice and is global head of Ashurst Perkins Coie’s hotels and gaming practice.

John is an authority in commercial and property law and advises corporate clients investing in real estate interests around Australia.

John has extensive experience in all aspects of property transactions, including assisting clients with acquisitions, disposals, joint venture arrangements, development projects, leasing, financing arrangements, property management and relevant hotel and gaming regulatory issues. He also has experience in the negotiation and drafting of management and operating agreements relating to hotels and other tourist assets and venues. 

John's comprehensive knowledge of the hospitality industry and his skills saw him involved in many of the largest hotel acquisitions and disposals which have occurred in Australia in the past five years. John is also responsible for the firm's gaming practice in Australia and Asia and has extensive experience with land based and internet gaming issues.
