Introduction

Madeline is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice.

Madeline de la Torre earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law. While in law school, she held editorial and leadership roles with the Journal of Law and Technology at Texas and the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal.

Madeline previously served as a patent litigation fellow and summer associate in the firm’s Austin office. Her experience includes researching authorship issues under the Copyright Act, analyzing lost-profits damages in patent matters, assessing subpoena-enforcement questions, and evaluating alternative damages theories involving patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and breach of contract. 

Before attending law school, Madeline worked in cybersecurity, where she developed security tools, led security incident response efforts, and designed access management solutions.
