Karen is an employment counsel providing responsive, pragmatic advice on complex workplace matters, cross-border mobility, restructurings, M&A and employment disputes.
Karen Mitra has experience working with clients across the Asia Pacific region and is a day to day contact for clients in Australia and Asia.
Karen brings a truly pan-Asian/Australian experience to her role advising corporate clients on a broad range of employment law and workplace relations issues including international employee mobility, restructurings and redundancies, employment aspects of M&A transactions, leave entitlements and benefits and disciplinary issues and dismissals. Karen also has experience advising on the employment aspects of anti-bribery and corruption matters.
Karen has advised a broad range of clients regarding litigious and non-litigious Asia employment matters, including multi-national corporations and Governments.
Karen is recognized by Chambers 2025 as an "Up and Coming" individual. Clients describe her as having "exceptional relationship management and interpersonal effectiveness skills with a broad knowledge of law and our needs. She's incredibly responsive and pragmatic."
