Introduction
Rachel advises clients on real estate transactions and financing.
Rachel is experienced in a wide range of asset types, including industrial buildings, retail developments, offices, research and testing facilities, vacant land, and mixed-use projects. She regularly represents developers, investors, landlords, tenants, and corporate occupiers through all stages of the development process—from site acquisition and due diligence to financing, land use and zoning matters, construction-related issues, leasing, and dispositions. Working with both emerging companies and established corporations to strategize sophisticated deals and assist with day-to-day real estate needs, she also advises on cutting-edge issues and uses, including electric vehicle charging, data centers, and digital infrastructure. Rachel additionally leads acquisition and due diligence teams for M&A transactions. Her finance experience includes new loans and workouts of existing loans, secured and unsecured credit facilities, acquisition financing, bridge loans, and structured financings. Rachel also advises on cutting-edge issues and uses, including electric vehicle charging and data centers.
Rachel maintains an active pro bono practice, regularly dedicating significant time to matters that advance civil rights and access to justice. Her commitment included more than 100 hours of pro bono service last year. In 2020, Rachel received the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights’ James T. Caleshu Award for outstanding pro bono contributions.
