Introduction
Jesús advises customers and vendors in strategic a technology and commercial transactions.
Jesús J. Castillón is a technology transactions partner who advises clients on complex commercial and technology matters, representing both customers and vendors in the negotiation and execution of strategic technology, outsourcing, AI, and digital transformation transactions.
His practice encompasses a broad range of technology and commercial agreements, including software licensing, software –as –a service, cloud computing, information technology outsourcing, managed services, AI and machine learning solutions, data and content licensing, technology implementation projects, and other strategic sourcing arrangements. Jesús regularly counsels clients on technology procurement, AI governance and risk management, data governance, cybersecurity, privacy, and the development, deployment, commercialization, and use of emerging technologies. He works with organizations across a variety of industries to structure, negotiate, and manage mission-critical technology relationships and initiatives.
In addition to his private practice experience, Jesús spent periods embedded within the legal department of one of the world’s largest oilfield services companies, serving as in-house counsel on special projects. That experience provided him with valuable insight into the legal, business, and operational considerations that influence client decision-making, enabling him to deliver practical, commercially focused advice that aligns with broader organizational objectives.
Jesús is a member of the firm’s Strategic Diversity, Inclusion, and Opportunity Committee and serves on the firm’s Senior Counsel Compensation Committee.
