Introduction
With experience as product counsel and a transactional lawyer, Brandon negotiates and drafts technology-related agreements for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies.
Brandon Thompson possesses substantial experience assisting clients with communications-related regulatory compliance. His Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulatory practice includes radio and satellite licensing, license transfers and assignments, and equipment authorization compliance.
Brandon also advises clients on a broad range of telecommunications matters, including compliance with national security issues related to the Secure Networks Act and “covered” telecommunications and surveillance equipment; compliance with the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), STIR/SHAKEN, emergency alert, and E911 rules; and customer proprietary network information (CPNI) rules. He has also successfully guided clients to over $20 million in federal telecommunications-related grants.[show-more]
In addition to his communications practice, Brandon advises clients on compliance with various accessibility-related statutes and guidelines, including the European Accessibility Act (EAA), Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (CVAA), and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Brandon was an attorney in the Attorney Honors Program in the Federal Communications Commission’s Enforcement Bureau, where he led numerous TCPA and Truth in Caller ID Act enforcement actions in coordination with state attorneys general and the U.S. Department of Justice.
