Introduction
Samuel drafts and negotiates commercial agreements and IP licenses for a diverse range of clients, from technology industry leaders to early-stage startups.
Samuel Klein provides practical product counseling on the development, launch, and market entry of innovative technology. His practice spans multiple areas, including generative AI, software development and licensing, open-source compliance, cloud and platform services, and payments and money transmission.
Beyond core technology transactions, Samuel advises clients on the intersection of tech and media, including social media platform issues and content distribution. He also maintains a dedicated pro bono practice, where he works with veterans to secure benefits and assists public interest organizations in advocating for equitable internet access.
Before joining the firm, Samuel served as an associate director at the Atlantic Council, where he led research trips to China and analyzed global technology trends. His background includes internships with the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Legal Adviser and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, as well as two language immersion programs in Beijing.
