Noam brings cross-border perspective to some of the most complex restructuring and M&A transactions in France and beyond.

Noam Ankri heads the distressed companies and special situations practice of the Paris office. He is best known for his adept handling of complex cross-border matters, with a dual focus  in M&A (LBO, corporate M&A) and restructuring (distress M&A, debt restructurings, insolvency proceedings).

Having worked in New York, London and Paris, his clients, which include large corporations, financial institutions and numerous investment funds, appreciate his eye for the multi-cultural approach required in a cross-border deal.

Particularly active in all types of special situations for more than 25 years, Noam is a key player on the very exclusive French restructuring market and has advised most of the major transactions in France.

He is also an experienced litigator having obtained major results for his foreign clients before French Courts.

Noam is the chair of the restructuring commission of very influential Paris Europlace and has been a senior lecturer in LBO at several Paris law schools for over 10 years.

He is an avocat at the Paris bar.

  • Altice France | Lead Partner | 2025 | Advising a steering committee of dissenting senior secured creditors to challenge Altice's €24 billion debt restructuring agreement.
  • Société Générale | Lead Partner | Ongoing | Advising the pool of senior lenders led by Société Générale as Facility Agent in connection with the €700 million financial restructuring of Segula Technologies.
  • LBI ehf. | Lead Partner | Ongoing | Advising Islandic bank in liquidation LBI ehf. in connection with the transfer of a portfolio of loans and the enforcement of the claims and securities thereunder.
  • SMCP | Lead Partner | Ongoing | Advising the steering committee of bondholders in the context of the financial difficulties encountered by the French listed company SMCP (Sandro Maje Claudie Pierlot) and its Chinese shareholder, Shandoong Ruyi, which resulted in a cross border litigation, including the bondholders accelerating their €250 million bond debt and enforcing their security interests making them the new main shareholder of  SMCP.
  • Netceed | Lead Partner | 2026 | Advised the group of RCF lenders of Netceed, a leading distributor of TMT cables, portfolio company of sponsor Cinven, in connection with the €2 billion financial restructuring of Netceed.
  • Atos SE | Lead Partner | 2024 | Advised the steering committee of the unsecured bondholders of the listed technology company Atos SE, namely the unsecured 2024 exchangeable bonds and the senior non-exchangeable unsecured notes maturing in 2025, 2028 and 2029 holders, in connection with the €5 billion financial restructuring of Atos SE.
  • Casino | Lead Partner | 2024 | Advised the steering committee of the unsecured creditors of the listed company Casino Guichard Perrachon S.A, namely the French law unsecured notes issued under the Company’s EMTN programme maturing in 2024, 2025 and 2026, in connection with the €7 billion financial restructuring of Casino Guichard Perrachon S.A.
  • EQT | Lead Partner | 2024 | Advised EQT on the restructuring of two portfolio companies (Smart Parc and Mozart Clichy) and the sale of their office buildings in Paris and its suburbs.
  • Solocal | Lead Partner | 2024 | After having advised in 2020 the group of senior RCF lenders, including Goldman Sachs, ODDO BHF and Boussard & Gavaudan, in connection with the €600 million financial restructuring of listed company Solocal, Solocal opened new mandat ad hoc proceedings in 2023 that resulted in a new restructuring and a change of control in favour of business mogul Maurice Levy.
  • Technicolor | Lead Partner | 2024 | Advised GLAS as agent of the senior secured lenders in connection with the €600 million debt restructuring of Technicolor group, resulting in a new lender-led following its delisting.
