Lynn advises on high-profile restructuring and insolvency mandates and also advises banks and financial institutions on complex banking disputes and regulatory and internal investigations.

Lynn Dunne is a member of Ashurst Perkins Coie's Global Board. She is head of the Contentious Restructuring and Insolvency Group in London. Lynn is best known in the market for having a well-versed restructuring and insolvency (including cross-border insolvency) practice and also a financial institutions strategic advisory practice covering banking disputes and regulatory and internal investigations. 

Lynn's practice includes advising investment and retail banks in relation to both litigation and contentious regulatory issues, including cross-border enforcement strategies. She also advises alternative investment funds on a broad range of issues. Lynn has been involved in a number of significant and well-known retail administrations advising officeholders and also both bank and building society insolvencies advising the Bank of England and the subsequent officeholders. Most recently she has been advising both the joint administrators of Stenn International Limited and State Oil Limited (part of the Prax group). She also advised the Official Receiver as liquidator of the Thomas Cook Group companies.

  • The Official Receiver and special managers of the Thomas Cook companies | Partner | Advising on all aspects of the liquidation, including over 6000 claims relating to a range of matters issued by multiple parties (including the RCF, personal injury, customers, Civil Aviation Authority, various airports, airlines lessors, engine and other airline part owners, the Secretary of State).
  • The Bank of England | Partner | Advising in relation to the collapse of and contingency planning for Silicon Valley Bank.
  • The Financial Conduct Authority on its review, and negotiation, of Amigo Loans' schemes including acting for the FCA on its successful court opposition of the first scheme of arrangement.
  • GLAS | Partner | Advising as Note Trustee in relation to the Section 423 claim brought by Credit Suisse against Softbank arising out of Greensill.
  • McClaren Holdings Ltd | Partner | Advising in relation to an expedited claim against its bondholders as part of its broader successful restructuring. 
  • A Japanese Bank | Partner | Conducting an internal investigation relating to alleged misconduct of a certified individual and associated litigation relating to a breach of contract claim.
  • A large PE house | Partner | Conducting an internal investigation  in relation to non-financial misconduct of a certified individual including criminal allegations.
  • The Australian Government | Partner | Advising in relation to an investigation into one of its senior London Embassy based staff.
