Introduction
Kate is an experienced real estate partner and works with large real estate developers and investors on complex transactions in a range of asset classes.
Kate is experienced in complex, structured investment real estate deals. Her client base includes some of Australia's largest real estate developers and major international investors.
Kate has extensive experience in real estate-focused joint ventures, managed investment funds, large scale development and infrastructure projects and associated fund through arrangements. Kate's experience spans a range of asset classes including industrial and logistics, healthcare and life sciences, hotels and student accommodation.
- Mirvac | Advised Mirvac on its new joint venture with an Australian super fund for the development of SEED Stage 1, forming part of a A$700 million logistics and industrial development site.
- Kio Investment Management | Advised Kio on the acquisition of land and development of seed assets in its BTR portfolio, including BTR project in Fitzroy, Victoria.
- LaSalle Investment Management | Advised on the establishment of a new joint venture with Gibb Group and the acquisition / redevelopment of the initial seed asset, for industrial / logistics uses.
- Mirvac | Advised on the sale of its 50% interest in 10-20 Bond Street, Sydney (NSW) to Investa, backed by US private equity fund BGO.
- Major Australian Real Estate Company | Acted on the A$180m sale of a sub-regional shopping center in NSW.
- ASX | On the move of its headquarters from 20 Bridge Street to 39 Martin Place, Sydney. This involved the negotiation of a complex AFL and lease 13 floors and sky signage rights at the new overstation development.
- Sovereign wealth fund | Advised on establishment of two logistics joint ventures (core plus and development) with two other overseas institutional capital partners and a domestic manager - total capital commitments of ~A770m.
