Jessica Davies is an international energy and resources lawyer based in Perth, having worked in the US, UK and Australia. She is a qualified Australian solicitor and US attorney, with an exceptional record in Australia, the US, UK, Asia and Africa.
Jessica has a range of international experience working with corporations and governments across the world. She has significant experience in the oil and gas, energy, mining and renewables sectors, with a particular focus on joint ventures, acquisitions, disposals, structuring, royalties, marketing, as well as supply, transport, operational, licensing and regulatory arrangements.
Jessica is frequently recognized by clients for her outstanding ability to conduct complex matters and communicate across stakeholders, manage large teams, and drive to commercial outcomes. - Oil and Gas Climate Initiative (an industry led oil and gas "think tank") in a global comparative analysis on Carbon Capture and Storage. As part of this we are considering, among multiple facets, the risk sharing elements of CCS regimes globally including in relation to the management and transfer of reservoir licenses and liability. This extends to new concepts of trailing and post-closure liability and covers jurisdictions including Australia, America, Canada, the UK, Brazil, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia.
- Major Oil & Gas Company on its proposed acquisition of ENI's participating interests in seven major oil & gas projects offshore Indonesia.
- Major Oil & Gas Company in relation to their upstream and potential midstream investment in one of the largest and most significant "mega LNG" development projects off the North West of Western Australia, and LNG trading arrangements.
- Sunrise JV (Woodside and Osaka Gas, as the remaining non-State-owned participants in the Sunrise JV) on the negotiation of PSC and other arrangements with Timor-Leste and Australia associated with the development of the Greater Sunrise Project including advising on facility access and tolling arrangements.
- Hevehe Petroleum Limited, a member of the Mineral Resources Development Company Limited group, a PNG government owned enterprise, on the purchase of 50% interest in the Pasca Project (offshore Papua New Guinea petroleum licenses) and the establishment of joint venture.
- Fortescue | Advised on structured advice to update joint venture agreements to improve operational efficiencies and maximize value at Iron Bridge mine.
- Vendata Resources Limited on its minority equity divestment in the Konkola Copper Mine project in Zambia.
- Appian (a London based mining focused PE fund) on its investment in the zinc mine being developed by Altamin (an ASX listed company), Italy's first mine.
- The Project consortium advising the project consortium on all aspects of the development of the Australian Renewable Energy Hub project. The project, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, will be one of the largest green hydrogen / ammonia projects consisting of 26GW of wind and solar generation.
- Moonies Hill Energy on all stages of the development of the Flat Rocks Wind Farm project in WA, including the sale of Stage 1 to Enel, Stage 2 to Water Corporation and Stage 3 to a potential investor.
