Introduction

Holly (she/her) supports clients in all stages of dispute resolution, from early case evaluation, value-driven prelitigation resolutions, and litigation management to settlement, mediations, and trial.

Holly Martinez’s practice emphasizes the development of compelling case themes and jury strategy to resolve disputes. She also has experience responding to and issuing subpoenas, preparing witnesses for depositions and trial testimony, managing large discovery projects, and briefing complex legal issues.

Holly represents clients in class-action lawsuits, multidistrict litigation, product liability cases, breach of contract matters, real estate and construction disputes, and partnership and shareholder disputes. She has advised clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 50 companies.

In addition to her business litigation practice, Holly advises clients in the psychedelics industry on litigation, regulatory inquiries, and emerging policy issues. She has experience with Right to Try laws, efforts to reschedule substances under the Controlled Substances Act, and local and national policy developments concerning psychedelics.

Holly maintains an active pro bono practice and has worked on a range of impact litigation, from efforts to make psilocybin therapy more accessible for terminally ill individuals to representing Black Lives Matter protestors seeking to express their First Amendment rights. She has been recognized by the firm and the Oregon State Bar for her extensive pro bono work.

Holly is a founding member of the Psychedelic Bar Association, a member of the National Native American Bar Association, and former co-chair of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association. Holly also serves as a mentor to students at all three Oregon law schools and through Portland State University's Explore the Law program.
